What do you think about lady and the beast chapter 1

...so i was reading it and it introduces people who have dark skin and dark hair ergo basically black and then i look at them and i am mesmerized by their beauty bc its not everyday u see dark skinned characters and then i read "300 years later MANY THINGS changed including THEIR SKINS BECAME LIGHTER"

i'm a big fan of isekai but this is just- i dont know how to feel about this,someone tell me what the fuck this is indicating. it's been 400 years since slavery ened and bitch our skin color did not fucking change << im including the slavery thing bc the author writes something about those people being murdered or some shit.. like u live in a civilized world and the solution for ur problem is the people's skin being lighter?? ,this author pisses me off and im disgusted and im depressed-
