The problem was that I was 8 years old, living in Germany so I did not understand english nor could I even read english (I couldn't even read properly in german). It was either when I saw the Interview with the Vampire movie, or the Heroic Legend Arslan OAVs. (see image) I couldn't help notice the subtle romance between characters of the same sex, & it intrigued me. This was also at a time when I was sick to death of man-woman romance being shoehorned into everything & preferred things like "The First Wives ......   reply

As for me, I was only immerse on shoujo manga back then. The only genre I only read was shoujo.I always searched for new ones until one day I can't find new updated shoujo manga. Eventually, I got bored because of that. I haven't read any manga!!!! And so, yaoi was the only genre I always saw on the homepage ( on a different site back then). Out ......   reply

Curiosity . Pure curiosity . While reading manga on Mangafox , 8 years ago , I kept seeing yaoi yaoi over and over again . I remember thinking " What the heck is this ?
