I was shipping the male characters of Escaflowne as a teen, started researching it and fell right into GW yaoi fics. First Yaoi/bl manga was Fake. Then of course Zetsuai and Kizuna. Seems like a lifetime ago.   2 reply

My first yaoi anime was Junjou Romantica and I was a bit taken aback at first because I was too young, I didn't know it was possible for men to be in a relationship and have sex together But it's not like I was disgusted or anything like that, I found it interesting and better than shoujo I understood that I was jumping into a new world   1 reply

I think I was 13, and really you should already know what it was going to be like at that age unless you lived a really sheltered childhood (￣∇￣"). When I was a lot younger (8/9) I walked in on my sister watching Full Metal Alchemist and It scared the shit out of me, so it was a long time before I got into anime.
