How long are you willing to wait for updates on manga?
For me, it depends on how interesting the plot is, but it can also be based on the quality of the translation/the effort put in. I have waited for updates on mangas that need to be translated only to get one chapter after waiting for over a year (which is fine by me lolol). Ultimately, I can wait forever if I know that the author/translator is still motivated to update.
If a chapter takes too long to update, people may lose interest. If chapters are uploaded too frequently, people may feel overwhelmed and not read at all. The ideal situation is around 1 chapter every 1~2 weeks, but that doesn't work out at times.
Many people complain about wanting faster updates on manga/manhua/manwha/webcomics/etc., but where do you personally draw the line? What do you think the ideal update schedule should be?
Tbh if i am waiting for a manga to update i dont think about it too much and i tend to forget everything that happens in the plot so by the time it gets updated i usually re read it so i could probably wait about 3-4 months for a update cause i'll probably have gone back to the manga at that poiny to remember what happened 1 reply
At first I didn't really care about the time between updates, even if I often had the frustration of getting hooked on a manga and then realised it hadn't been updated for ages (by "ages", I mean at least 6 months) and would probably never be updated again..ever.
Now the problem is I'm getting used to the weekly updates of webcomics so I find it mo...... 1 reply
I really didn’t care at the beginning cause I had so many to read, but now I draw the line at like 2-4 months. I think it’s reasonable. But if it’s been a long time and they dropped it, I will ultimately forget that it exists, and read other books and stuff. reply
