Especially at school lol my classmates would tease me until they got used to it and sometimes they would read with me and ask recommendations hell i even made them listen to smutty blcds and watch yaoi animations and stuffs like that. At family gatherings as well, my mother once caught me staring at some good shiit haha and she just laughed the hell out of her soul but scolded me afterwards. i read yaoi everywhereee wwwww. Idk i think the only difference between reading in private and public is you can be as loud as you want in expressing them feeeels when reading alone. Unfortunately, i suck at controlling my emotions and when i read yaoi in public, people would usually shift their attention to me looking crazy af loool
