Anyone relate?

I confessed to my crush at the end of 9th grade and he told me he also liked me. We texted each other all throughout summer and in the beginning of 10th grade, I found out that he got himself a girlfriend. A month later, me and a friend found that we actually liked 'that' same person. Another month later, that guy confessed to my friend and told her that he only dated that girl to make her jealous. I made friends with his ex-girlfriend and I told her I used to like him and she told me I dodged a bullet. All three of us were disgusted.
