I'm actually asexual myself and I was quite surprised to see so many people who are also ace on this site! This is a question I've been asked before and I'm curious as to how others might answer as well.
Personally, I really enjoy reading about relationships between other people. I think that there's a part of me who really likes that fact that BL is between two boys, and that I (as a girl) could never put myself in either character's place.
I read a lot of yaoi too as well as identify as asexual. I have no desire for human intimacy but I guess reading it or looking at it is a type of substitute for the excitement that other people get from actual humans. 1 reply
