I HAVE 3 TESTICLES AND 2 COCKS!
Society's obsession with romantic/sexual relationships is extremely toxic.
The focus that we as a society put on romantic relationships and sex is too much. I've seen countless examples of teenagers, like 15 year olds, feeling embarrassed or lesser than because they've never had a significant other or because they're a virgin. Literal children.
If a child mentions a friend of the opposite gender, everyone teases them about their new "boyfriend/girlfriend". Almost every single movie/TV show has some form of romantic plot or subplot. If there isn't, fans obsess over it and make one up. There are shows like the bachelor/ette, love island, too hot to handle, that turn the whole thing into a spectacle and a game to win.
People assume that single=sad/lonely. "Why are you still single? Why aren't you dating anybody?" And they assume that if you're single it must mean you want to be in a relationship. Some people place so much importance in having a significant other that they'll enter into/stay in a relationship that they're unhappy in.
Some people are happier being single. Some people are happier when they're in a relationship. Some people never want to get married. Some people do. There's nothing wrong with any of those things, but to send the message that being in a relationship is more important than your own happiness or growth is fucked up.
You're kind of right, but based on the nature of humans, and animals in general, a preoccupation with romantic/sexual relationships makes sense to me. Societal pressure is definitely a contributor and I think it's gone a too far, but, in the end, it is all a matter of opinion.
