Hi I've been suffering from intrusive thoughts for more than 2 months and I gotten use to it so much I feel as if it will never go away because it was the only thing that occupied my mind as I try doing other stuff. Please anyone who has suggestions to help get rid of intrusive thoughts tell me
I think I would try block out everything with music like sit somewhere comfy and just get sucked into the music. It helps me a lot when I'm stressed or not happy reply
Try to push yourself to do the opposite of what it's telling you. And if it's a negative voice I think u gonna have to go to a therapist or something ( it actually helps) bc ion know what to do in that case. But if it's interrupting your thoughts, and just being annoying try to meditate. Youtube has some pretty good stuff for that. reply
I’ve had them for years and since the beginning I’ve relied on music pretty much entirely. It helps a lot but it’s got to the point that I’m dependant on music and can’t do anything without using headphones. I would suggest if music works for you then definitely use it but make sure you also use other outlets to distract yourself. Exercis...... reply
One thing I've learnt that helps with these voices is the fact that they are not really your thoughts, so please do not feel guilty for having them.
- they can be blocked out with music
