I mean this is something that is never clearly mentioned in Mangas and Manhwa but its safe to assume that they either die or switch bodies.   reply

it depends on the isekai i think. for example for wmmp it was hinted that our athy was also the original athy but reincarnated after dying in Korea. but yea usually when they go to some novel they read, it's justs a fictional character with a set story line so the "person" / character that was replaced isnt really a soul/a person ig?   reply

Some of the isekais I’ve read make it seem more like reincarnation so it’s not like they just straight up possessed the person but more like they always were the person but after hitting their head they remembered their past life.   reply

based on the isekai's ive read the MC either dies(mostly due to a car accident) or they get transported/reincarnated and I think the original owner dies or there soul is maybe in another body like maybe in the MC's previous body idk~   reply
