Guys reading Yaoi without being gay?

I think reading a story or watching movie isn't really about the gender. How should i say it... I suppose, It's more about the plot and climax . I am a girl and I love yuri, I don't read it because I am gay but more for the plot and art. I think it's the same for guys, I mean appreciating and enjoying a piece of art doesn't associate with our sexua......   1 reply

I think it might be because of the fact that they are able to witness a different kind of love between that of the same sex and understand it a little better, in some aspects. Never seen any straight guys that do though. Personally I think that they wouldn't. Because masculinity and whatever they think that means is too fragile for it. Hell they can't accindentally touch hands without saying ''no homo'', they always feel the need to clarify they're not gay for some reason. Male gay or better say became lately gay , since i was bisexual until months ago , so to answer your question first of all , love is love doesn't know gender , males tend to not express the true depth of their desires front of females or show weaknesses ( kinda animal thing for males ) , it's easier for same sex couples to express their inner selve......   reply

Weeell I'm technically a female but since I dont know about my sexual orientation, I can't say much. I don't have a lot of experience and I thought that I was bisexual or maybe pansexual but lately I found that I may be asexual... Because this is still a taboo in many places and forbidden love / desire still captures the hearts of many people (mainly women). Perhaps this may be one of the many reasons.   reply

I'm not a straight guy, but I am asexual, so going by the same thinking, I shouldn't like yaoi. I think our reasons are because it is aesthetically pleasing. The stories are and the sex scenes are. Kind of like admiring art or eating good food. It really has nothing to do with being sexually attracted to male bodies.   4 reply
