I honestly can't recall my first. I think it started with sano/saitou fanfiction from kenshin. That or ffvii slash.

Internet manga was really low saturation back then. I had to read text translation alongside an original Japanese book. There were a few scanslations. Nothing hosted online because pictures were too big...

I don't think I had much access to Yaoi manga until hmm.... I think I followed a lot of discrete scan groups and leeched from IRC. I had 2gigs back when that meant something, though most of it was anything from love hina (fully translated) to a few chapters of 3x3 eyes (less than one volume worth was translated)

I mostly read fanfiction until nakama started their thing. I think there were a few other small groups. viewfinder is I think when I stopped feeling awkward about liking Yaoi and just accepted it. I'd call that one my first yaoi love. I even got a signing from the author. Something I pretty much never do.

I've read that and crimson spell many many times over the years.
