Practice blowing air on your hand and aim for a cold temp. This also helps to make your notes clearer and less breath-y). 2: A gre......   1 reply

Blowing with more compressed air usually plays higher notes (visa versa for lower notes) I can't say anything about the position needed to make a better noise on your flute but check these factors: -your embouchure -fingerin......   1 reply

Heyo! I'm a fellow flautist here and I'm also curious to how others can manage to hit the high notes =w= I'm only able to play up to the third octave of G since I'm only Grade 4. I still struggle on hitting that note without having to pause or have it drop an octave but I'm not going to give up practising since I've come this far :) So, what I do t......   1 reply

Hello! I've been playing the flute for a while but to answer your question, sometimes it's a problem with your fingerings. for example, there are 2 ways of playing a F on the flute and usually people use the one I circled and just blow really hard. But if you look again, there is another way of playing F and if you use it, you don't have to blow as......   1 reply
