you're right, a lot of yaoi manga is dubious consent at best, especially a lot of the older/well-known/pretty bishounen ikemen types that revolve around a power-dynamic where one party more-or-less holds all the power either financially, emotionally, or physically and the other just passively becomes their "property" for lack of a better descriptor......
