Yeah, some people, like my friends and some of my classmates. Although I've never really read yaoi in public places, it's obvious to people that I like BL. I just can't stop smiling when I encounter some boyxboy scenes irl.
My mom knows BL, and she has read BL manga before, and she knows that I know what yaoi is, but I'VE NEVER TOLD HER I LOVE IT.
