infatuation is the word you're looking for. that feeling of wanting someone despite not knowing a whole lot about them, thinking that their features are attractive, etc. is infatuation and pretty natural. if you date the person you're infatuated with, on average, it takes about 3 months to become disillusioned and "fall out of love" with them. imo ......
