What do you think about the people romanticizing depression and anxiety and many other mental illnes

I envy them. Imagine never actually having depression and believing it's about quietly crying all beautifully, longingly staring at a window. Must be nice to be so ignorant.   reply

I do really think this era people are mentally weak. It just it. We are living in comfort. We actually get mad when things we want we don't get in seconds. People b4 us they had it tough. They had to be tough because of the environment. Anyway this one therapist he gave advice if someone said he had the DAS (depression anxiety stress) just listen ......   2 reply

there's somewhat of a fine line between spreading awareness and romanticizing. obviously romanticizing is bad but i think a better question to ask is at what point does it become romanticizing? e.g., someone joking about having crippling depression when in reality, they're high functioning and just saying it for the funnies xd. there are obviously ......   reply

I think it's absolutely horrible. Mental health is nothing to joke about, it isn't fun, it isn't a trend, and it isn't funny. Lots of people suffer from it and some take their lives because of it or hurt themselves. Anxiety runs in my family, I don't have it though but I've seen what it does to people.
