It's "normal," but I don't think it's a good thing. I don't necessarily regret reading yaoi at age 13, but I do miss my innocence. Before I exposed myself to this shit, I had a "purer," less sexist view of people. I basically saw girls and guys the same way, and I could watch both shounen and shoujo without batting an eye.
