how to deal with failure?

so I failed this really important exam and now I have to retake my year. it was really surprising because I worked really hard and didn't expect to fail :( now I'm worried about retaking it next year and failing again and I just feel ashamed since most my friends succeeded while I didn't.
it's my first "big" failure and I don't really know what to do. I hope I can receive the advice of people who went through this before!

It's necessary to fail so you know where you need improvement. I don't take it too hard because I know at some point before me someone failed, someone failed the same time as me, and I won't be the last person to fail. Have yourself a good cry and get back at it! reply

by gods- What a wholesome comment section. I second every comment filling you with advice. Like what everyone said here- it's totally fine to fail. Humans make mistake- we fail. We're not robots for that reason lol. I also failed important exams, e.g my finals (in which I always dread about). And I empathize with that. I get you. What I can j...... reply

it’s ok to fail cause it’s part of life and we continue to grow and learn. Take one step at a time, you’ll get wherever you’re headed towards to. reply

I missed a year when my parents died it wasn't exactly failing, it was like taking a break so all of my friends also got into the next grade while I didn't but that's all behind me now. Just don't make decisions that you'll regret later. reply
