I love being single

I don't want to say relationships are overhyped, but being single is comforting in ways more than one for me

I'm introverted meaning I, without fail will disappear off the face of the earth several weeks at a time. Sometimes, months. I once went a half a year without talking to anyone. People tell me they understand and tell me to take all the time I need to myself, but when I come back they moved on. If the people that claimed they cared the most about me dipped during a time of need then the person I'm seeing will most likely do the same

I'm asexual and most people in my experience don't understand or refuse to understand my feelings on sexual interactions. They rather take me not wanting to have sex as a personal attack or get frustrated with me and will leave meaning our relationship was based solely on sex in their eyes

I'm aromantic as well. Another thing people don't understand

I crave tranquility and a relationship is not the best way to achieve peace of mind. Even if things are great they wont be further down the road. Drama is unavoidable and a life with drama is depressing

I crave solidarity, which goes hand in hand with my introvertness. I love being alone. It's the best feeling in the world. Being in a position where the only person I need to please, look after and make happy is me is an ideal lifestyle

Relationships just require too much maintenance and effort and I don't have the drive nor interest to be so involved with another human being
