It depends on you, if you want friends with the same interests as you just share what you like. I did and now all anime and manga-loving people irl come to me to chat and it's fun, we share info on websites, we give each other recommandatons on anime to watch and where to buy merch. From my experience,, its pretty much hard for a person to hide their likes and interest especially if they have grown to love it throughout their life.
