No, the reason why other racial slurs hold so much weight is because of the generational oppression the victims faced, as to cracker comes from yts cracking the whips on slaves back. Cracker for that very reason can’t be a slur, due to it being a response towards a very vile oppressive action.   reply

cracker has the same meaning as redneck, so it can be derogatory but it’s not racist to say because white people are not oppressed, they are the oppressors.
