I've always wanted to read a good light novel but never found one that really interested me -- something with a more unique/surprising plot and is written well!
I always see the historical ones but I find them a bit cheesy haha... Open to new suggestions! :)

Even though everyone seems to say it's not her best work, my favorite is Heaven Official's Blessing and I am in love wit the couple Hua Cheng/Xie Lian. I'm also fond of the character of Xie Lian, he is one of the most well-developed in all MXTX's works in my opinion. (if you want to talk about MXTX, don't hesitate and send me a message )
