So I'm bi. We'll preface with that. I've read a lot of yuri and yaoi. I think a lot of women find yuri uncomfortable because of a few reasons.
1) They are often not the demographic.
2) Unrealistic body standards hitting that barbie esc peak. I take issue with this even in yaois though, so I feel it's pretty common, just super uncomfortable and fa...... reply
I don't think Yaoi is great at all in general, but I do like stories from that genre or whatevs, I did think yuri for me was weird ngl, but it's probably cause I was conscious of my sexuality at the time and i have this weird mind set that
if i read yuri, would it trigger the lesbian inside of me all along? stuff like that

I feel there's no 'cool' yuri stories out there. Yaoi comes in so many other genres, like crime, adventure, fantasy, school/uni, seinen, bodyguard etc etc etc. Just ANYthing imaginable.
Yuri is mostly school stuff and its either the slowest slow burn in history, where you get a nice story, but only a kiss, if at all, or the girls are big tittied bi...... 1 reply

When I was younger, I was visiting the library, and picked up Strawberry Panic. Lo and behold, Yuri! I read through the whole thing, really didn’t mind it, but never really seeked out more?
