A Cruel God Reigns is what I would describe as aggressively inaccessible, it's long, it's a fucking emotional slog, and it's unflinching depiction of it's subject matter is disturbing. Monster Child and Ogeha!!!!!
I have not seen a soul refer to Monster Child at all. In my opinion, it's as good as or better than The Horizon (also underrated but not as much). If you want a really powerful thought-provoking read, I suggest checking it out.
