I think it's not BL genre alone that glorifies toxic relationships, romance genre in general glorifies it. Why? Maybe because it sells? Most readers likes it, the angst, the dramas and how the characters manage to make their toxic relationship work. ╮(￣▽￣)╭   reply

Something I should clarify is that the only manga I read is 98% BL, with 1% being 'post-anime' and another 1% divided between 'mangas I read before I discovered BL' and 'Yuri with Smut'. I'm not saying BL genre is alone with toxic relationships. I expressed myself wrong.   reply
