my first ship ever was sherlock holmes and dr. watson. this special interest developed after i read the whole of every story sir arthur conan doyle wrote about them. i had never been exposed to homosexuality at the time (apart from my friend coming out to me as bi, which i didn't give a negative reaction to, but never really registered it either). ......   reply

For a loong time i didnt date anyone or even had a crush on a human being. It was always too complicated for me and rather spend my time reading/ watching stuff.
Here in the fictional world there were characters, men and women, who immediately took me by storm and i felt like I actually fell in love.
Not cringe imma-dedicate-my-personality-to-you kinda crush but i found myself thinking about these not-real people and wished I had someone like that. Someone who would treat me right and have these silly stories be our real life.
Now when I looked at the real world i grew sad how the dating life worked, toxicity and constant arguments that happend. Sure some had it good but its not a given to have a good partner.
I now have a literal book definition of a perfect boyfriend but tbh if it wasnt him I would still be single cause no way im trying my hands on this bs. Nuh-uh
Anyways do yall have similar feelings for fictional characters/ dating world in general?

I've seen a bunch of gay stuff in cardcaptor sakura, sailor moon, utena and other shoujo. But as a kid who basically spend the entire span of childhood cut away from society i didn't even know homophobia existed so i thought this stuff was normal. But Untamed was my first official introduction to this genre   2 reply

I remember that i liked the fordidden aspect of a gay relationship, found it a tad mor......   reply

I'm not an immigrant but a son of immigrants. I've been living in x european country since birth, but people can tell that I'm not from there. Appearently the way I say "r" is more pronounced, which is what gives it away. Not only that, I'm less eloquent when speaking the native language than other people my age (which I'm working on). I cant remem......   reply
