Well I just love reading Manga. Im not picky with genres and what matters is if the story is interesting. But if u were to ask me to chose between Shoujo or Yaoi. I'd chose YAOI. I mainly started reading yaoi because I was sick of the shoujo manga tropes with the weak-willed (either that, or just completely useless) female character, and the oppressive male character with no impulse control. It didn't sit well with me how I could never know if I was reading something consensus, or just plain sexual harassment/rape, because ...... 1 reply

I read almost all genre, depending on my mood. I love that I´m able to experience so many different feelings through manga. In romance manga, I don´t care if it´s female x male, female x female or male x male. The characters and the story are more important to me. But the topic is yaoi. Why do you like to read Yaoi? Personally I read it because in a sense it helps me escape reality and teaches life lessons in a sense. Not only yaoi other genre manga too and anime but lets just focus on yaoi for now yes (▰˘◡˘▰)
