Yes it needs to be spoken about. Not many people realize it, but consent is important in any relationship and boundaries must be established.
So for or all you who need to hear it (yes I'm talking to the ones that say consent isnt necessary):
Who CAN'T give consent:
MINORS
Drunk people
People under the influence of drugs
People who have been pressured/forces to give consent
Sleeping people (no it doesnt matter that they're your partner, they are still not awake to give consent)
Who CAN give consent
LEGAL adults
People who arent under any drug/alcoholic influence
People who voluntarily gave consent
Stop defending rape. I don't care that that person/ character has changed, don't normalize it. Their personality doesnt excuse their actions. When consent is not given or NO isnt respected ITS RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE
I'm sick of people normalizing it simply because the story has a happy ending or because the character/person "changed". Don't normalize it, much less fetishize it.
