I don’t read it, so imma guess it’s because some people (anti-fujoshis) preach that bara is written by gay men so it’s more realistic than yaoi (spoilers: both are not, yaoi’s uke/seme’s dynamic is awful and bara is just overly muscular men(at the level of john cena) fucking. Both of them are awful physically and in terms of relationship.......   reply

As a person who's never liked shota I actually searched it up and guess what I found out: Japan's legal consenting age is 13... and what's even worse is, mangakas specifically make the character younger than 13 in shotacon :D I tried finding literally ANY reason why shotacon wouldn't be considered pedophilia but, big surprise, it's exactly the same......   4 reply
