So I was having an argument with someone who reads manga at my school, but I noticed the manga they were reading had a lot of.. Lolis in it. I asked him why he was reading it and he said he enjoyed it. So I tried explaining how that's a little weird and he got mad at me, saying "if there's rape in BL you don't care, but once I read something that has one loli in it now it's a problem"
I don't read BLs with rape in it so that didn't really effect me but I did USE to read it and that got me thinking.. Why is it so normalize for people to just brush past rape in BLs?? And most people who try to excuse it usually say "fiction doesn't effect reality" but yet they be the same people that say "fiction does effect reality" for shotacon and lolicon.
In my opinion I just think that all three subjects are just weird to read in general, especially if it's on a daily basis. But I wanted to see what other people think, "fiction does effect reality" or does it not?

I read it on ao3 and it was a villain deku story and it was inspired by granny and stuff so basically izuku was left at an orphanage and he's was there to a point where he faked a smile so much he like couldn't STOP smiling and stuff and uh next thing I remember is that he had to be moved to like Granny's house or something because no one would adopt him and stuff and he was basically going through hell like every time he tried to get out the old dude or grandma would knock him out and he'd be back in the basement and so like next he finds a journal about the previous victims and starts to write in it and stuff and it also tells him stuff thatl help him escape and like a few chaps letter shinso joins that party and like izuku realizes he's gonna die soon cuz like ppl only last like 4 months once a new person comes then their killed so izuku prepares shinso for his death and for him to escape I think but stuff happens and they both make it out then they end up in a town they find a bus that they make their home izuku gets a cardboard mask and his nickname is like smile or smth and shinso has a frown cardboard mask then they start fighting ppl and izuku makes shinso use his quirk on them. And makes them smile and izuku hits them with a bat

I just want to know if there was anyone who stopped reading yaoi and what was the reason?
I have this kinda close of a friend of mine that won't make eye contact and won't face towards me at all. He and I talk alot but he has this small voice that i can't hear really well. I kept trying to make him have eye contact with me so i can try to read his lips or analyze his emotion by looking at his eyes or something just so i can understand and respond to his chatter. FYI, we always talk side to side while walking, sitting or standing. He won't face towards me and he always adjust whenever i get the chance to talk to him face to face. It's been making me frustrated and i don't know if he's intentionally doing this or what....
