idk who popularized it, but I know Hollywood has some influence in it with the male stereotype should be dominant and should have no weakness while the female should be the submissive, emotional, damsel in distress. I truly think that it's just as simple as, The author's think this is what people like or they just do what other authors do, they're probably too focused on how the story is gonna go next and deadlined to care how to make more unique sex scene, but of course thi could change.   reply
