Dating

Saying hi to those ,who are in post-breakup depression and such. But detaching this period , when you trying to get through an EMOtional disaster ( that i dont consider as "being single" just bc it's different), from general "singleness " , i can say one thing for sure : being in relationship - means being brave and mb reckless. Ah, honestly? I felt pretty desperate while single. As in, back when I had never had a boyfriend, I was pretty chill and didn't worry about dating at all, but after I got my ex, I got suuuuuuuuper depressive and needed lots of help from family and friends to get up, and still felt quite bad and kept on loving him for some good 18 months, it was on......   reply

I think this is more of an issue when you live alone and have no hobbies to keep you busy. I live with my family and have other family come visit often. I don't really get lonely with them around, even if everyone has a SO. Not to mention my 5 cats and 2 dogs. Like other people have said, I just don't think about it. It's not a priority in my life.......   reply

I don't know if maybe I'm just too simple minded, but I've never really worried about dating. If I like someone I just say it 'Cause I think it's unfair to the other part when you don't tell the person how you feel and it's troblesome for myself. If I get rejected, I don't really mind. I've never dated before, so I don't actually have that "black hole"- wait I kinda do actually, after reading all the lovey-dovey mangas I get a bit lonely. But it doesn't matter when I'm with my friends. My friends fill that black hole and I'm happy and content. The thing is I don't think about it. So there is really no need to handle it. I mingle (aka flirt) when I feel like it. I do what I want. Well maybe it's probably because I don't equate being single with being lonely and being in a relationship with pure bliss.   reply

How do I handle it? I drown myself in manga! I was in a relationship for such a long time and then it suddenly ended. The hardest part was sleeping alone. When you are lying in bed at night with nothing to distract you, it's pretty hard to endure. So, yea. I recommend drowning in manga.   reply
