Bow, nod, smile or just say good morning/afternoon/evening. That's what I do when I meet strangers or acquaintances. For people close to me I usually say their name or nickname.   reply

This might be controversial and I don't know how to ask exactly but I'm pretty curious about something...
I'm from Latin America and I was really surprised when I created a Twitter account and everyone was like "Things like white people do" or "Omg, you so white" At first I was confused bc why would the color of your skin has something to do of the way you act? That didn't seem right to me. In Latin America we don't really care about colors in general bc we are mixed, we can be white, brown or even black (our skin) so I was so surprised that people from the internet refering to people in that way... but then I found out that "white people" is supposed to be "causasian" people and so on so I wanna know if even though we (people from latin america) have white skin are we still latinos and not white? Why people care about colors so much? and being a latino is not even a race and people are acting like it is... I'm so confused... can we just forget about those things :( Please, don't be rude I'm just asking because I'm curious and I'm sorry if is a stupid question ...
