As a female that reads BL, I identify as “fujoshi” or whatever because my favorite genera is BL. I like it because it has better plot than most comics. I found BL when I was going through a very difficult time in my life and I found refuge in it. I don’t fetishize gay men, I myself identify as lesbian. I don't put much weight on the label fujoshi. Some people seem to use it as a general label for a girl/woman who likes BL, so I'd rather not assume that everyone who considers themself a fujo is a crazy woman salivating at toxic gay sex. I find it ironic that people criticize fujoshis for, well being obsessed with BL and gay men. And yet this up is like the bizillionth time this question has been posted.
