Black cat is a symbol of bad luck/Do not cross the street when a black cat crosses it or you'll encounter an accident. Story Time: Our family had a black cat before but someone poisoned it never knew who did it but I suspect it's one of our superstitious neighbors who complains whenever our cat go out.   1 reply

I'm from the U.S. these are the ones I can remember. 1. Whistling at night attracts demons/evil spirits. 2. Breaking a mirror means 7 years bad luck. 3. Spilling salt brings bad luck.
