My friend likes to invite me to go hangout with her family. Like big events she will invite me over. Birthdays, holidays, etc. Or sometimes just ask me to come over. But I usually decline. Because imo I'm friends with her, not her family, if that makes sense? Yes I'm friendly with her family and am thankful she's inviting, but I'm not interested in some deeper connection where I'll show up everytime there's an event or simply just go over to be with her family. Plus I wanna hang with just her, not her family in tow. When I invite her, it's so we can hangout together and my family is never part of the equation. Am I a bad friend? Is it okay to feel like this? Do yalls buddy-buddy with yall's friends family or am I the only one feeling like idc for that business, I just want my friend....
