But, with western culture now being more inclusive of LGBT+ material, we have watched stuff with these theme, (of course they may show their discomfort at times). As someone who comes from a conservative Christian background, there's no way. My parents would kill me if they knew even about the most innocent, fluffy BLs that I read or watch, never mind the others.... and they most definitely would not watch with me! Watching or reading yaoi would be very unpleasant with my parents, it'd be extremly uncomfortable and i wouldn't enjoy anything. Additionally, my parents are very religious and homophobic, they'd ban me from watching all kinds of anime, or prabably even disown me(i'm pretty sure they would) Them finding out about yaoi is my biggest nightmare tbh   reply

My father knows i watch it and even knows i own several mangas of it. I read Sekaiichi hatsukoi in front of him, I watched Love stage while sitting in the kitchen.
