eventually I could see myself adopting/fostering a special needs older child. I'm autistic, so maybe a child one the spectrum. Kids are pretty awesome to hang out with (compared to adults), but I don't see myself as being a parent to just any child, I'd like to be a parent to a kid I really connect with. I always thought that I wanted four children in the future: two boys and two girls, but after learning that it's so painful to give birth I'm kinda scared and I'm having second thoughts about that. it would be cool to give birth and leave behind a trace of yourself. but yeah, when i think about the pain of childbirth and all that comes with it, i really don't want to go through with it. i have joked to my parents that i might consider adopting. besides, there are a lot of children in need in this world and not enough parents to adopt them.   reply
