My mother’s drinking issues...her hypocrisy...her need to feel superior to others...her lectures...her guilt shaming...I could gone on. I love her ofc, because she’s my mother after all...but damn she gets on my nerves.   reply

Overprotectiveness. I get it. They want to protect me from predators and all that but it’s to an extent where they wont even let me talk to people online (Yes, I do talk to people online just secretly) .   reply

Mine weren't strict at all. They kinda cared about grades & wanted to know where we were but other than that they were pretty hands off. They didn't care at all what type of games we played/shows we watched (except if it was like actual porn lol) and I don't think they ever monitored my computer history at all? It was mostly nice tbh, it did suck......   reply

Only kind of. My parents let me do whatever I wanted without monitoring me 24/7, all they needed to know was when I came back home. They didn't check my grades, because I always did decent and trusted if I said I did good in a test. Though they were pretty strict in other things. My mom particularly was strict about my image.
