I've been in quite a few relationships, and yeah I think it could be easily explained by him just not wanting to kiss you. Can't say for sure the reason, maybe he wasn't ready, maybe he was waiting for you to make the first move, maybe you two weren't compatible, but for some reason or another he just didn't want to kiss you. Gawd damn idk its been soo long, my first anime was probably one piece, naruto, dragon ball, or doraemon. Those four was my childhood memories, i remember watching them back in the day.
