I'll go first. It was my first week in the big city. I had gone to visit my aunt and had spent a week at her house. When I was heading back home, she got a cousin of mine to meet me in the city so that I could board a bus home. Got into a bus to head to the bus station from her house safely. When I alighted, I must have looked out of place. Some lady approached me askign for directions. Me, in my infinite stupidity also told her I was new here. She suggested we ask some unassuming guy next to us. He looked irritated but agreed to take us to our respective locations. Mind you this lady suggested the building she was headed to was also near the bus station.
Off we walk, in town following the guy's lead. Then this lady claims she is Jehovah Witness. She has prayed for people to chase demons away! I grow suspicious but I don't say anything. She tells the guy she thinks he is struggling with some issues and would love to pray for him. He agrees. The condition for the prayer was he walks ahead of us, praying and leaves us with all his possessions. Everything. He does. She prays for him and returns his things.
Then ladies and gentlemen, my turn arrives! My turn to leave all the things I am carrying with them and walk forward praying! Despite the panic, I do it. Every nerve in my body was on edge but I still did it.
You can guess what happened. After a few steps, I turn back and of course, there was no one there. It was just me, in a big city, with no phone, no money and no idea where the hell I was. I found my way to the police station and have never told anyone what actually happened. Lied they snatched my bag and run.
That was the most stupid I have ever felt my whole life.

Hey so I had this best friend back in 7th grade and we were best friends until the end of 10th grade and to be honest she cut me off because I was toxic. Earlier, I saw someone post a question about controversial opinions. I was very interested in responding. However I wanted to do so on a separate page, because it concerns a problem that has been going on on this site for quite some time.
For the whole "yaoi/fujoshi debates" on this site, there isn't a side that wins it all. From what I have seen, many people on all sides just bicker and point fingers, but don't do anything productive. There are little to no proposed solutions and many of them aren't willing to come together to solve the problems.
I have seen numerous people getting bullied on these topics. When I mean bullied, I don't mean peacefully disagreeing with the other parties. What I mean is people shaming, insulting and sending death threats to the other parties. If you are going to state your opinion and do so in an aggressive way, then it just creates more tension instead of improving the situation.
I think that people should be more mindful of how they speak and to speak for themselves, since it is their opinion. I have seen many people state: "as a [fujoshi, gay, bi, or other group] in the sense that they represent all the group. However many people in said groups disagree with each other. So stating that you represent [insert group] is counterproductive and erasing other people's opinions.
Just to be super clear, I don't condone anyone who has done any wrongdoings (example: a person who says they ships guys (in real life) as a couple to satisfy their fantasies.) In addition this post is meant to call out all sides of the debate. I'm not saying there aren't any good people or that one side is completely in the wrong. I'm just wanted to point out that some people on all sides have received hateful comments and some the ones who said those hateful comments feel like they have the high ground and are immune to criticism. In my opinion, this is something that is not ok.
Just a reminder that all of the statements I have said on this post are my opinions and you have every right to disagree with them.
Also, I apologize if there are any grammar mistakes in my post.
