I can understand 5 languages including my native language, ok so I can understand serbian croatian bulgarian macedonian english and french(not very much I just know the basic things like introducing myself, it's my second foreign language and it's my third year learning it and I cheated on every exam till now and will in the future) and now i'm trying to learn german, but i'm still thinking about it should i or should i not?

I've been teaching myself japanease for the past 3 years, and even though I'm not really fluent I can say and understand quite a bit of the language. Mostly because I watch a lot of anime and read a lot of manga so I kinda understand modern japanese. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭   reply

My native language is Hebrew, and here in Israel we start learning English in 2nd grade and most people can speak English pretty well. We are a small country so we have to know it pretty well and there are a lot of things that are just not available in Hebrew. In 5th grade some schools make the kids learn Arabic too. English and Spanish are my native languages so those don't count. But so far I've learned French, Italian, second year Korean, and I'm currently studying Portuguese. Ooo, and in a couple of months I'm going to be starting Japanese at the uni (≧∀≦)   1 reply

In my lovely province the official language is french. we are one of the only french provinces in canada. Unfortunately my first language is english. so as soon as i started school at 5 years old french was shoved down my throat. So my native language is Greek but we must also study ancient Greek (which is a dead language and not actually foreign but...) and some people think that since the ancient one is basically the roots for the modern one then it's very easy to study it.Well no!┗( T﹏T )┛ It's kinda hard and I'm not fond of it.We also learn English and then we can......   1 reply

In Armenia (a very small country near Turkey) almost all schools teach at least one language aside from the national language armenian, that other language is russian.The majority of the country knows russian and many know english very well.I personally went to an English bias school so my second language is english, then russian, but both were tau......   reply

So yeah, I'm so interested in Japanese, Cantonese and Korean but I have no idea how I should start it. I understand the three languages very well if it's orally but if it's written, I assure you, I have no freaking idea what it says. I have a Korean friend, and I was begging him to teach me Korean.
