Learn Foreign Languages

Ohh contrary to what people think of my country’s stereotype, we actually speak english fluently ^^ I take Mandarin as a compulsory 2nd language but I’m horrible at it OTL I plan to learn Korean, Japanese, Icelandic and a bit Tagalog if possible aha. My native language is Cantonese, but I also speak fluent English and Mandarin. I can also speak some Japanese and Korean, though not as fluent as those three, and I am currently self-learning French.   2 reply

My native languange is Visayan a dialect of Filipino. I am learning English at school and Japanese by watching anime and doing some research in internet. In the near future in God's will I want to learn Korean, Chinese and Spanish.   1 reply

Because I live in a touristic caribbean island I was raised speaking 4 languages: Papiamentu (local language) Spanish (My mother is latin and the local tv station airs lots of novelas) Dutch (mandatory in school. My two native languages Finnish and Swedish. I used to study Spanish but I have already forgotten pretty much everything. Some really basic phrases in Japanese (only spoken). And English apparently. I'm learning Basic N1 for Nihongo, and it's easy (for now); just simple greetings and manners. This is required since I'm attending my cousin's previous highschool which is foreign-friendly, but they need students to adjust there and speak Japanese with others. >.   2 reply
