Study languages
[Question]

so ..... I'm Italian and I study languages: French, English, Spanish and I'd like to learn Russian. the problem is that I am not confident in my pronunciation. I'm also quite shy so learning in class is difficult (not to mention the whole covid situation). I would like to teach my language and in the meantime become familiar with English and maybe make some friends. So if someone is good in English and wants to learn my language they can contact me. it's a good deal isn't it? (the same goes for the other languages mentioned above even if this could be a little more difficult for me. But we can talk about it.) For the other details such as day, time, frequency, duration etc ... we can talk about it privately. let me know below if anyone is interested while for people who are not interested in Italian but other languages you can feel free to write below and maybe you will find what you are looking for.
good luck.

I feel disrespectful when talking in english
[Question]

I'm a bilingual asian and in our country there are honorifics for everything. Like in Korea the <nim>, <shi>, or <sunbae>. Japan and China also have these types of honorifics. There is also a more polite way of speaking to elders.
But in english there is nothing. The most I can do is to say <Ms.> or <Mr.> and I have nothing else to call a senior. I use Mr. and Ms. for almost everything. My mom's friend, a teacher, a relative or a stranger. I usually change my speech for seniors/elders but in english nothing really changes...
It's really interesting in a way.
