: Once again, I am begging and PLEADING for artists to learn more than 3 hairstyles. Hair down, in a ponytail or short is just driving me crazy. It really does take me out of a story.
Hairstyles make an era. Each culture had unique hairstyles in different time periods. India had beautiful, elaborate hairstyles. Many European countries had various headdresses and hairstyles. China had different hairstyles for their different periods. And you're taking me I'm expected to just accept that her hair is down ALL THE TIME? I can usually put up with it for a few chapters and then a certain angle will remind me again. It's made worse because almost always, the background characters have different hairstyles or headdresses. The maids do, several of the noble women do, but only the generic ones. The main ones have bland, long, hair down with nothing to it.
I get it. It takes a lot of effort to do hairstyles. I understand, it's tedious and inconvenient. But it doesn't have to be all the time. Theoretically, she could change hairstyles, for different events. You know, like most normal people? Just please, I'm crying here, mix it up a bit. Hairstyles are just as important as all these elaborate gowns you have no issues trying to create.
