Sleepy
: So sorry Im so late! I was at a wedding where the people actually loved each other unlike Cameron and Edgar
Tldr: Cameron and Edgar cuss each other out and hurt feelings. That's it. That's the chapter.
But to go more in depth, Cameron explains to Edgar that he never truly loved HIM, only the idea of him. Edgar's green eye allowed Cameron to see a reflection of his childhood self who never received love. Cameron goes on to say how jealous he was of Edgar bc HE received the lord's love despite not only being a commoner but a foreigner as well. Cameron loved Edgar bc of the fantasy and delusion he made up to comfort himself and now that he knows Edgar and him are related, he can no longer love him for fear of Edgar taking over the household and stealing what little Cameron has left.
Edgar himself is extremely hurt. He claims that Cameron should at least continue to act as though he cares about him, thats what Edgar believes he is owed. But he is denied, and as Cameron continues talking and giving "pathetic confessions" Edgar starts to realize that he truly wasn't loved, that his perfect life and lover was all a facade to help "heal" Camerons inner child. The chapter ends with Edgar calling Cameron a pathetic cheap man whore, and Cameron (who is also hurting and regretting his father's death) confirms that statement for Edgar and walks away.
I fought hives, food poisoning AND being hungover to bring you this summary today. And yet Cameron and Edgar continue to disappoint me. Welp see you all next week for when everything gets EVEN WORSE somehow

: Every chapter with Lakrak in it would always be a good time. And honestly the twist? of one of them being his cousin is pretty interesting, wonder how it will unfold.
