Tiramisu_2134 : I’m not really into BL like at all. I’ve only read like one, but this was surprisingly, really good even though I do think it got boring at times I loved how complex and well written the characters were. I think the way it portrays abuse and trauma is so realistic and relatable which is rare. Authors tend to make abuse victims cute, helpless and constantly get saved like how to get my husband on my side that’s not realistic at all sadly, abuse victims don’t get saved and suddenly everyone’s nice to them because they’re so cute and nice. Most abuse victims don’t act like that. The story was realistic to a certain point, but the story tried so hard for us to feel bad for the fl because she’s such a nice girl who’s being abused by everyone. While this story is a lot more realistic and the characters are not the “perfect” victims they’re flawed they make mistakes and even though they’re not very good people, you do generally feel bad for them because of their situation and the fact that a lot of people are actually going through that. Also that the power of love can’t fix everything and make their traumas go away. I’m saying this also because a lot of you keep villainizing the characters just because they’re together doesn’t mean they’re gonna suddenly get over their trauma and be a healthy couple. You guys constantly get mad when one of them does something wrong which is stupid because are we reading the same story?
