: I honestly feel bad for Veric and Isella. Like Isella is truly innocent in the grand scheme of things, just a woman being caught up in the crimes of men. Veric is also relatively innocent. Like he's definitely an asshole who does shady business dealings, but he deserves prison, not to be psychologically tortured. He was even kind to the mc in the past, adopting her, and he clearly loves his daughter.
Like I get ML is trying to change things to protect MC, but maybe start with the big problems like the asshole prince. Like Veric is only a problem as long as he is involved with the family so him and MC should honestly just run away and live a life away from all of this. Or he could make Isella hate him and thus Veric wouldn't view him as a potential husband for her.
Idk just feels wrong to torture Isella if that is what he is doing. Her only crimes in all her lives has been falling in love with the wrong man.
