: I'm slow, someone explain– I thought the reason the empress didn't punish the consorts was because she couldn't figure out who was in the right. So she tried to be charitable by calling the consorts out but not outright punishing them. Even the empress's lead maid was glad she didn't punish them. So what's the revelation the empress had at the end? I'm sure she would've already known that if she wanted to punish those consorts, she could've– I mean, it's not like the this is her first clash with them? Someone smarter than me please help me out
